This is my first real lockdown challenge.
This young German Shepherd has spent his life in lockdown with his family shielding. On Tuesday I was the first stranger he had met. Safe to say he didn't like me very much, this odd looking person in a face mask.We spent half an hour getting to know one another, he did most of the talking. Eventually we got outside and he was still quite hostile. I decided he'd had enough for today.
I went back on Wednesday and he still had a lot to say but I did manage to get him out for a walk.
I was concerned that the face mask was not helping, as he could not see my facial expressions and agreed with the owners to test daily if they allowed.me to enter the house without one.
Today I arrived unmasked and took him straight out for a walk and as we walked home you'd have thought we'd been mates for months, as the pictures show.
